Analysts are talking about the return of inflation - a worry if you're a bond investor because then interest rates tend to rise and bond prices fall.

His speech followed a call by the head of the world's biggest bond investor for policymakers to implement new measures to muster up growth.

That suggests watchdogs fear the company — the biggest bond investor in the world — was artificially boosting its returns.

It includes plans to raise at least £1 billion from bond investors and a further £2 billion from revised loan arrangements with the help of government support.
