Remove direct state funding of faith schools and simply tax the parents of faith-school pupils?

There is almost a consensus, at least between the front benches, that there will have to be much larger state funding for the parties.

But surely all state funding of the arts is discriminatory against some group (if only the unappreciative or untalented)?
