Today, the area surrounding the fort includes a park and a bathing beach.

In 2004 a decision was approved to build a public bathing beach.

After the bathing beach closed in the late 1960s, most of the facility was demolished.

However, water companies are still refusing to tell swimmers about sewage spills affecting the vast majority of the 450 bathing beaches with overflows.

Seven tennis facilities and a tennis hall are likewise among the offerings, along with a beach volleyball facility with three courts at the bathing beach and a big skating facility.
