A colourless liquid, C10H18, much used in the paint industry as a solvent, with a molecular structure consisting of two fused saturated rings; cf. Decalin.
1877Jrnl. Chem. Soc. ii. 899 Tetrahydroisoxylene absorbs oxygen, while hexhydroisoxylene, like decahydronaphthalene, may be kept without alteration in the air or in oxygen. 1904Ibid.
