1971J. D. Almeida in Postgrad. Med. Jrnl. XLVII. 486/2 The particles described by Dane et al. (1970) which we shall describe as Dane particles. 1976Lancet 20 Nov. 1123/1 There was a rapid and reproducible fall in the serum levels of Dane-particle-associated d.n.a., d.n.a. polymerase, and core antigen, all of which are thought to be components of the complete hepatitis-B virus particle. 1981Greenwood & Whittle Immunol. of Med. in Tropics v. 137 Hepatitis B surface antigen occurs in the serum in three forms, spherical particles..filamentous forms and double-shelled particles about 40 nm in diameter. The last structures, known as Dane particles..are thought to be the complete virion. |
