▪ I. cyclostyle, n.|ˈsaɪkləʊstaɪl| [f. Gr. κύκλος circle, wheel + style, L. stilus.] Name of an apparatus for printing copies of writing. It consists of a pen with a small toothed wheel at the point which cuts minute holes in specially prepared paper tightly stretched over a zinc plate; this paper is then used as a stencil-plate from which copies are printed. Hence cyclostyle apparatus, cyclostyle ink, cyclostyle pen, etc.
