‖ Spätlese|ˈʃpɛtleːzə| Also Spaetlese, and with lower-case initial. Pl. -lesen. [Ger., f. spät late + lese picking, vintage.] A white wine made (esp. in Germany) from grapes gathered later than the general harvest.
