‖ ctenidium Zool.|tɪˈnɪdɪəm| [mod.L., a. Gr. κτενίδιον, dim. of κτεν- (κτείς) a comb.] Each of the respiratory organs or gills of Mollusca, consisting of an axis with a series of processes on each side like the teeth of a comb.
