craspedote, a. Zool.|ˈkræspɪdəʊt| [f. Gr. type κρασπεδωτ-ός bordered, f. κράσπεδον (see prec.). Hence mod.L. Craspedota pl.] Applied to those Medusæ which have a velum or inturned border along the margin of the ‘bell’.
