spamming, n. Computing slang. Brit. |ˈspamɪŋ|, U.S. |ˈspæmɪŋ| [‹ spam v. + -ing suffix1.] The practice of sending irrelevant, inappropriate, or unsolicited postings or e-mails over the Internet, esp. indiscriminately and in very large numbers; an instance of this.
