‖ couleur|kulœːr| 1. The French for colour. Hence couleur de rose rose-colour, pink; borrowed in Eng., a. as adj. ‘rose-coloured’, ‘roseate’; b. as adv. ‘in a rosy light, in an aspect to which fancy lends undue attractions’.
