Raffaelle ware, n. Ceramics.|ræfaɪˈɛlɪ ˌwɛə(r)| Also 8–9 Raphael's ware and varr. [f. the name of the Italian painter, Raffaello Santi (Raphael; 1483–1520) + ware n.3] A type of sixteenth-century Italian majolica whose pictorial designs were heavily influenced by (and once attributed to) Raphael; also, a modern imitation of this.
