Abkhaz, n. (and a.) (æbˈhɑːz, ‖ apˈxas) Also Abkhas. [Prob. ad. Russ. abkhazskiĭ, perh. ult. f. Arab.; the people's name for themselves is apshua.] (A member of) the Abkhasian people; their language. Also attrib. or as adj.
