† conˈvival, a. and n. Obs. [ad. L. convīvāl-is pertaining to a feast, f. convīva one who feasts with others, f. convīvĕre to live together.] A. adj. Belonging to a feast; = convivial.
1650Sir T. Browne Pseud.
