snow-goose Also snow goose. [f. snow n.1 Cf. Flem. sneeuwgans (Kilian) wild goose, G. schneegans (MHG. snêgans) wild goose, snow-goose, pelican.] A northern (American) goose of the genus Chen, esp. C. hyperboreus, characterized by its pure white plumage.
