(T.), Consequential in no shape conveys the meaning intended by those, who use it to express a pompous, conceited, lordly man..If a word is wanted..it should naturally have a termination denotative of the circumstance, formed analogous to other words; and I will agree to adopt the term consequentious, which will rank with such as contemptuous, litigious, contumacious. |
