‖ conjunctiva Anat.|kɒndʒʌŋkˈtaɪvə| [mod.L.; short for membrāna conjunctīva ‘conjunctive membrane’: see conjunctive.] The mucous membrane which lines the inner surface of the eyelids and is reflected over the front of the eye-ball, thus conjoining this with the lids.
