1. A round head to a rivet, bolt, etc.
1869Reed Shipbuild. xvii. 328 The common form of rivet head employed for shipbuilding is that known as ‘pair’ head; but hemispherical or Snap heads are also used. 1889Welch Text Bk. Naval Archit. iv. 75 For machine⁓riveted work, and occasionally for that put together by hand, snap heads and points..are employed.

2. A tool used to shape the head of a rivet.
