priapulid, n. and a.|praɪˈæpjʊlɪd| [f. mod.L. name of class or phylum Priapulida, f. generic name Priapulus (J. B. P. A. de M. de Lamarck Hist. Nat. Animaux sans Vertèbres (1816) III. 76), diminutive form of Priapus: see -id3.] A. n. A marine unsegmented worm belonging to the class Priapulida, found in mud at the bottom of cold seas. B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or designating an animal of this kind.
