rackan-crook north. dial. Forms: 5–6 raken-, 6 rakon-, racon-, rackyn-, rayckin-, rakin(ge)-, 6, 9 rackin-, 7–9 racken-, 9 rackan-, rack-an'-; 7 rekin-, 7–9 reckin-, 9 reckon-. [f. prec. + crook. Rackan-hook is used in the same sense in mod. dial.] A rackan serving as a pot-hook, or a pot-hook used with a rackan.
