smooth-leaved, a. [f. smooth a. 15.] Of plants: Having smooth leaves. Chiefly in specific names: smooth-leaved elm, a large tree, Ulmus carpinifolia, native to Europe, North Africa, and western Asia, and distinguished by smooth leaves with shiny upper surfaces.
