confervoid, a. and n. Bot.|kənˈfɜːvɔɪd| [f. as prec. + -oid.] A. adj. Of the nature of or resembling a Conferva; composed of articulated filaments; ‘also, applied to diseases caused by parasitic vegetations’ (Syd. Soc. Lex.).
