A mould open at both ends in which a structure of uniform cross-section is cast by filling it with concrete and continually moving and refilling it as the concrete sets. Freq. attrib. with reference to this technique of construction, esp. as slipform (concrete) paver, a machine which continually forms the concrete surface of a road or the like by this technique.
