sklodowskite Min.|skləˈdɒvskaɪt| [a. F. sklodowskite (A. Schoep 1924, in Compt. Rend. CLXXIX. 415), f. Sklodowska, maiden name of Marie Curie (1867–1934), Polish-born chemist and co-discoverer of radium: see -ite1.] A hydrated uranyl magnesium silicate, Mg(UO2)2Si2O7.6H2O, which occurs as a secondary mineral, forming lemon-yellow monoclinic crystals.
