skin fold Med. Also skin-fold, skinfold. [f. skin n. + fold n.3] A fold of skin and underlying fat formed by pinching, as a measure of nutritional status; freq. attrib., as skinfold thickness; skinfold cal(l)iper(s), a pair of callipers for measuring the thickness of such a fold.
