Quirinal|ˈkwɪrɪnəl| [ad. It. Quirinale (also used), f. L. collis Quirīnālis.] The name of the royal (now presidential) palace on the Quirinal hill in Rome, and hence used to designate the Italian monarchy or government, esp. as distinct from the Vatican. Also attrib.
