Coˈlinderies, n. pl.
[f. Colonies + India, with ending as in Fisheries, the name of a previous Exhibition. ‘Colind’ was the registered telegraphic address; whence, Colindia, Colindies, Colindian, also proposed names. See Daily Telegraph 8 May 1886.]
A half-jocular name for the Colonial and Indian Exhibition held in London in 1886.
