† quinse, v. Obs. rare. Also 6 cuinse, kinse. [Origin obscure. The form cuinse, cited by Halliwell from the Bk. of Hunting 1586, may be a misprint: the Bk. St. Albans gives ‘A Plouer Mynsed’ as the proper term.] To cut, carve.
