situs inversus Med.|ˈsaɪtəs, ˈsiːtəs ɪnˈvɜːsəs| [L., in full situs inversus viscerum inverted disposition of the internal organs.] The condition in which the organs of the body are transposed through the sagittal plane (so that the heart lies on the right side, etc.).
