silen|ˈsaɪlən| Also 6, 7 sylen(e. [ad. L. Sīlēn-us, ad. Gr. σειληνός: see Silenus.] 1. Gr. Mythol. (Usu. with capital initial.) One of the Sileni or wood-gods; a species of satyr.
