sigmodont, a. and n. Zool.|ˈsɪgmədɒnt| [f. Gr. σίγµα sigma + ὀδοντ-, ὀδούς tooth.] a. adj. Belonging to the Sigmodontes, a class of murine animals in which the molars exhibit sigmoid patterns. b. n. An animal belonging to this class.
