clarkia Bot.|ˈklɑːkɪə| [mod.L. (F. Pursh Floræ Americæ Septentrionalis (1814) I. 260), f. the name of William Clark (1770–1838), American explorer.] A plant belonging to the genus so called, belonging to the family Œnotheraceæ, and including several species of annual herbs native to North America.
