shreddies, n. Brit. slang (orig. Mil.). Brit. |ˈʃrɛdɪz|, U.S. |ˈʃrɛˌdiz| [Apparently use as plural noun of shreddy adj., alluding to underpants having a tattered, shabby appearance, punningly after Shreddies, the proprietary name of a kind of breakfast cereal.] Underpants; esp. men's underpants.
