Church of England see church n. 5 b. Hence Church of Englander (rare), a supporter of the Church of England and its constitution. Church-of-Englandism (app. first used by Bentham) = Anglicanism. Church-of-Englandist, an adherent or supporter of the Church of England; also adj. = Anglican. (Bentham also used Church-of-Romanism, Church-of-Scotlandism, -ist.)
