chunga|ˈtʃʌŋgə| Also chuña (‖ ˈtʃuɲa). [mod.L., f. Amer. Sp.] A crane-like bird (Chunga burmeisteri), also known as Burmeister's seriema, found in the Argentine and Paraguay, where it is sometimes hunted.
