‖ chama Zool.|ˈkeɪmə| [L. chāma, chēma, a. Gr. χήµη cockle, f. χα- stem of χαίνειν to gape.] A genus of bivalve molluscs found in warm and tropical seas. The shell of C. gigas is the largest known. Comb. chama-shaped.
