Shabak, n.|ʃæˈbæk| [a. mod.Heb., acronym f. the initial letters of šērūṯ biṭṭāḥōn kĕlālī general security service; cf. Shin Bet n.] The division of the Israeli security service concerned with counter-espionage and internal security (properly a department of Shin Bet).
