certificatory, a. and n.|səˈtɪfɪkətərɪ| [ad. med.L. certificātōrius, f. certificātor: see -ory.] A. adj. Having the function of certifying; of the nature of a certificate. letter certificatory (transl. of med.L. certificatoria littera): a certificate, a written testimonial.
