cereˈbrifugal, a. [f. as prec. + L. -fug-us fleeing + -al1.] An epithet of nerve-fibres which run from the brain to the spinal cord, and convey cerebral impulses outward. So cereˈbripetal a., epithet of the nerve fibres which run in the opposite direction, and convey sensations from the outer parts to the brain.
