‖ Cercaria Zool.|səˈkɛərɪə| [mod.L., f. Gr. κέρκος tail.] A kind of trematode worm or fluke in its second larval stage, shaped like a tadpole, found as a parasite in the bodies of molluscs. Formerly supposed to be a genus of Infusoria.
