CE, n.2 Brit. |ˌsiːˈiː|, U.S. |ˌsiˈi| [‹ C n. + E n., perhaps originally as an initialism for either French Conformité Européenne, European conformity, or French Communauté Européenne, European Community.] A symbol, consisting of a stylized C and E, which is applied to certain products to indicate that they conform to applicable EU directives (regarding health, safety, compatibility, etc.); the certification indicated by this symbol.
