semiochemical, n. Biol.|siːmɪəʊˈkɛmɪkəl| [f. Gr. σηµεῖο-ν sign + chemical n.] Any chemical that conveys a biological message from one organism to another, esp. in such a way as to modify the behaviour of the recipient organism.
