calc-sinter Min.|ˈkælkˈsɪntə(r)| [ad. Ger. kalk-sinter, f. kalk lime (a. L. calc-em; see calc-) + sinter slag.] A hard crystalline deposit from springs which hold carbonate of lime in solution.
