‖ putwary, patwari East Ind.|pʌtˈwɑːrɪ, pætˈwɑːrɪ| Also -war(r)ee. [Hindī paṭwārī, f. paṭṭā: cf. pottah.] A village registrar or accountant under a zemindar.
