sea-spout †1. A sea-anemone. Obs. rare.
1731Medley Kolben's Cape G. Hope II. 212 The Sea-Spout is a very strange production of nature. It looks like a spunge or lump of moss, and sticks to the sea-rocks so fast that no beating of either winds or waves can move it. 1772–84Cook's Voy.
