† bullard Obs. [Contracted form of bull-ward, or perhaps rather of bull-herd; cf. cow-herd, neat-herd, and bearard for bearherd.] One who keeps a bull, or who takes part in bull-running. Cf. bull-run s.v. bull n.1 11.
