Brontosaurus Palæont.|brɒntəˈsɔːrəs| [mod.L., f. Gr. βροντή thunder + -o + σαῦρος lizard.] An extinct genus of dinosaurian reptiles existing on all the continents during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods; also (with lower-case initial), a reptile belonging to this genus.
