sciurine, a. and n.|ˈsaɪjʊərɪn| [f. L. sciūr-us, ad. Gr. σκίουρος squirrel (f. σκιά shadow + οὐρά tail) + -ine.] a. adj. Of or pertaining to the genus Sciurus or subfamily Sciurinæ of squirrels. b. n. A sciurine rodent; a squirrel.
