ˈBroadmoor
The name of an institution in the village of Broadmoor, south-eastern Berkshire, for the treatment of mental patients under special conditions on account of their dangerous, violent, or criminal propensities (formerly, housing the criminally insane). Broadmoor patient: a former designation of a criminal lunatic.
