Of or pertaining to the German philosopher, F. W. J. von Schelling (1775–1854), or to his doctrines. Hence as n., a follower of Schelling. Also Schellingism |ˈʃɛlɪŋɪz(ə)m| [ad. G. Schellingismus], the system of philosophy taught by Schelling; ˈSchellingist, a disciple of Schelling.
